This Privacy Policy describes how data is processed in the eTuning for iOS app.
This policy applies only to the version of eTuning distributed for iPhone/iOS through the App Store. It does not necessarily apply to other eTuning versions, platforms, web pages, tools or services that may have different functionality.

2. Data the app may collect
The eTuning for iOS app does not require users to create an account and does not collect name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, videos or health data.
The app may automatically collect certain technical data when an error or failure occurs in relation to use of the app or communication with a compatible bicycle.
- Bicycle motor serial number or technical identifier.
- Technical error logs.
- Error or diagnostic codes.
- Technical information needed to understand the failure, such as app version, model or technical information of the compatible system, communication status and other technical diagnostic data.
Some functions may save or restore technical configurations associated with the bicycle motor identifier. These configurations may include bicycle technical parameters, compatible settings, assistance profiles, region, wheel circumference, light configuration, transmission, power, torque, motor kilometres, maximum assisted speed and other compatible technical settings. These configurations are linked to the compatible hardware, not to a user account, name, email address or personal identity. If the bicycle or motor is transferred to another person, those configurations may remain associated with the motor.
This data and these configurations are processed only for technical purposes related to the operation, diagnosis, compatibility, support and user-requested functions within the app.
3. Purpose of processing
The technical data described above is used to:
- Detect, diagnose and fix app errors.
- Save and restore technical configurations associated with the bicycle motor.
- Improve the stability, compatibility and operation of the app.
- Analyze communication issues with compatible bicycles.
- Provide technical support when necessary.
- Maintain the correct operation of the app.
This data is not used for advertising, marketing, commercial profiling or user tracking.
4. Bluetooth
The app uses Bluetooth to communicate with compatible bicycles and components.
Bluetooth is used to allow the technical connection between the app and the bicycle. The app does not use Bluetooth to determine the user’s location or to track location.
5. Data the app does not collect
The eTuning for iOS app does not collect:
- User name.
- Email address, unless the user voluntarily contacts support by email.
- Phone number.
- GPS location or approximate location.
- Contacts.
- Photos, videos or audio.
- Health or fitness data.
- Financial data or payment information.
- Browsing history.
- Advertising data.
- Device advertising identifier for tracking purposes.
6. Support contact
If the user voluntarily contacts eTuning by email, the data included in that communication may be processed, such as the email address, message content and technical information the user decides to provide.
This data will be used only to answer the request, provide technical support or resolve the issue reported by the user.
7. Tracking and advertising
The eTuning for iOS app does not use collected data for tracking purposes.
In particular, the app’s technical data is not used to:
- Show personalized advertising.
- Share data with advertising networks.
- Combine app data with data from third-party apps or websites for advertising purposes.
- Share data with data brokers.
8. Data sharing
Technical data collected by the app is not sold or shared with advertising networks, data brokers or third parties for commercial purposes.
eTuning does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics tools or external tracking services in the iOS app.
9. Data retention
Technical error and diagnostic data will be retained for as long as necessary to diagnose problems, improve app stability, provide technical support and maintain compatibility with compatible bicycles and components.
When this data is no longer necessary for those purposes, it may be deleted or anonymized.
10. Security
eTuning applies reasonable measures to protect technical data processed by the app against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or misuse.
However, no data transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

The user may contact eTuning to request information about the processing of their data or to exercise any rights that may apply under applicable data protection law.
